For Megan and Clint Bullock, the celebration of their love was timeless. A clean, classic feel was just right for their perfect wedding. On June 11, 2005, Megan and Clint wed at Fair Havens manor in Arnoldsville, Ga., on the lawn of the historical home. The country setting and timeless feel made for the perfect arrangement.
Megan and Clint met through their church, but it did not look promising from the beginning. On their first date they did not click at all. It just didn’t seem like there was any chemistry. But they decided to try again and it paid off. For a year and a half they dated. They came together on their spirituality first and foremost. They also learned they shared a passion for eating healthy and staying fit. Their love of the outdoors became something they could truly share. Megan says, “What I love most about Clint is his creativity in predicting things that will make me happy.”
Around Christmas 2004, Megan planned to fly back to her native Seattle and visit family. She badly wanted Clint to join her, but he said he had to stay to deal with family matters. She had hoped to be engaged by Christmas though it appeared she would not get her wish. What she did not know was that Clint planned to surprise her in Seattle. In front of her family, Clint got down and proposed.

Over the next six months, Megan began planning her wedding, partly with the help of the ladies at Simply Swank wedding planners. Megan wanted more than anything to have a classic and timeless wedding. The overarching theme was a simple black and white look with red for accents.
Megan wore a strapless gown with a clean satin line across the chest and a train. She wore a veil with lace trim to match the trim on her gown. The lace overlay of the dress gave just the classic look she was looking for. Her attendants wore satin dresses with a black halter and white inset.
Megan, unlike most brides, was centered less on her dress than other details. She focused more on picking out the perfect flowers and decorations. Her flower selections featured large roses with accent flowers of intense reds and deep oranges to contrast the black and white setting.
For the ceremony, Megan and Clint stayed close to their hearts for their attendants. Megan’s sister Kyle Piper served as her maid of honor. Clint picked his father, Morris, to be his best man.
On the wedding day, a light sprinkle seemed an appropriate nod to Megan’s roots in Seattle. About 10 minutes before the ceremony, the rain stopped and the sun came out to shine. Megan arrived in a lovely horse-drawn carriage for her magical day.
At the reception, the party danced the night away to the classics like Frank Sinatra. About 400 guests attended the festivities. The wedding cake was three tiers, fondant white cake with black scrollwork around each side. In between each pillar were flowers to match her bouquet.

For the honeymoon, Megan and Clint chose the exclusive Anst Chastenet resort in St. Lucia for a week and a half. “The easiest part of planning the wedding,” says Megan, “was knowing there was a honeymoon at the end.”
For Megan, the hardest part of planning the wedding was trying to make everyone happy while still getting what she wanted most. Now she can just focus on her new life with Clint. Looking forward, Megan says, “The best part about being married is never having to go through anything alone again.”
